Chinese five element personality types and the inner dialogue of South Park characters as they prepare for a job interview.

Stan sits in his car outside the office building, staring at his reflection in the rearview mirror, already questioning the nature of employment itself.
Inner Dialogue: "Oh my God, dude. Why am I even doing this? Like, what IS a job, really? You trade your finite time on Earth for little green pieces of paper so you can buy stuff that won't make you happy anyway. This is so messed up.
Okay, okay, focus. Wendy said I need to stop spiraling. But what if the interviewer asks me where I see myself in five years? Dead? Climate change? Living in my dad's basement writing a depressing folk album? 'I see myself... contributing to synergistic growth paradigms.' God, I sound like my dad.
Wait — is that guy in the lobby the interviewer? He looks miserable. Is THAT my future? Am I staring into the abyss of my own corporate destiny? Jesus Christ, I need a drink. No! I'm fourteen. I mean — I'm an adult now. Sort of. Whatever.
Just... go in there and pretend you care about 'team-oriented solutions.' You got this, Stan. You got this. You definitely got this. You might have this."
Strengths as Water: Deeply empathetic, reflective, adaptable, sees the big picture, emotionally intelligent, philosophical wisdom beyond his years.
Weaknesses as Water: Prone to depression and cynicism, overthinks everything, emotionally drained easily, can drown in his own feelings, indecisive, vulnerable to existential dread.

Kyle has a color-coded binder. He has three backup pens. He has been awake since 4:47 AM.
Inner Dialogue: "Alright. Portfolio? Check. Resume on cardstock? Check. Ten rehearsed answers to behavioral questions using the STAR method? CHECK. I am READY.
I'm going to walk in there, shake their hand with exactly the right amount of pressure — firm but not aggressive — and I'm going to DOMINATE this interview through sheer moral and intellectual superiority.
Oh God, what if Cartman showed up and sabotaged it? What if he told HR I'm a — no. NO. Don't let him live rent-free in your head, Kyle. Focus. Channel the rage. The rage is FUEL.
When they ask about weaknesses, I'll say, 'I hold myself and others to extremely high ethical standards.' That's a strength disguised as a weakness. GENIUS. I'm going to crush Cartman at life. I mean — get the job. Get the job. Same thing really."
Strengths as Wood: Natural leader, ambitious, principled, strategic planner, driven by purpose, stands up for what's right, goal-oriented.
Weaknesses as Wood: Short-tempered, self-righteous, rigid when challenged, becomes obsessive (see: Cartman's destruction), takes things personally, burns out from rage.

Cartman is forty minutes late. He stopped for Cheesy Poofs. He is wearing a clip-on tie over a t-shirt.
Inner Dialogue: "Hehehe, okay, these corporate sheep are about to meet their new overlord. I'm gonna walk in there like I OWN the place, because spiritually, I already do.
Strengths? I have NONE because I am PERFECT, which in itself is a strength. Weaknesses? I'll say 'I'm too much of a visionary for most organizations.' They'll be eating out of my hand. Mmm, hands. I'm hungry.
If that interviewer is a woman, I'll charm her. If he's a dude, I'll intimidate him. If it's Kyle — wait, why would it be Kyle? Oh my God, what if Kyle got this job before me? I'll BURN this company to the GROUND. I'll start a rival company called 'Cartman Industries' and put them out of business and then buy their building and turn it into a Casa Bonita!
Wait, focus. Charm. Lies. Confidence. That's the holy trinity, baby. Let's go get hired, respect mah authoritah."
Strengths as Fire: Charismatic, confident, magnetic presence, creative (in villainy), natural performer, persuasive, unshakeable self-belief, entrepreneurial spirit.
Weaknesses as Fire: Egomaniacal, manipulative, impulsive, burns bridges (and sometimes people), lacks empathy, dramatic, attention-seeking, destroys everything he touches.

Kenny took two buses and walked a mile to get here. His interview suit is secondhand but pressed. His hood is, miraculously, down.
Inner Dialogue: "(Mmmph mmph mmph mmph.) Okay, I've literally died like 87 times — I can survive one interview. Probably.
I need this job. Karen needs new shoes, Mom's behind on rent again, and Dad spent the grocery money on beer and scratch-offs. Again. So... yeah. No pressure.
I'll tell them I'm hardworking, loyal, and I show up every single day no matter what. Because I do. I've shown up to school with a concussion, the flu, and once — briefly — while on fire. Work ethic? I invented work ethic.
Weaknesses? 'I care too much about the people around me.' It's cheesy but it's true. I'd give this interviewer my last dollar if she needed it. Hell, I probably will by the end of the week.
Just keep the hood down, keep the voice clear, and don't mention the dying thing. They don't need to know about the dying thing."
Strengths as Earth: Incredibly loyal, resilient, compassionate, grounded, dependable, selfless, quietly strong, nurturing, deeply loving toward family and friends.
Weaknesses as Earth: Self-sacrificing to a fault, neglects own needs, stuck in cycles of poverty/hardship, keeps quiet when he should speak up, literally dies for others, accepts too much responsibility.

Butters has arrived an hour and fifteen minutes early. He has alphabetized his references. He has already apologized to three people for no reason.
Inner Dialogue: "Oh hamburgers, oh hamburgers, oh HAMBURGERS. Okay Butters, you can do this. You IRONED your shirt. You ironed your UNDERSHIRT. You even ironed your TIE, which the internet said not to do but gosh darn it, it looks crisp!
Now remember — firm handshake, eye contact, but not TOO much eye contact because Mr. Mackey said that's 'intense,' mkay. Smile, but not like a creepy smile. Just a normal, 'Hello, I am a functioning employable young person' smile.
If they ask about weaknesses, I'll say I'm a perfectionist. If they ask about strengths, I'll say I'm a perfectionist. Wait — can I say the same thing twice? Oh jeez, what if they think I only have one trait?!
What if my dad finds out I was even nervous and grounds me? What if I accidentally say 'oh hamburgers' during the interview? What if I DIE in there?? Oh no, I'm sweating through my ironed shirt. OH HAMBURGERS.
...Okay. Deep breath. You are Professor Chaos. You have COMMANDED minions. You can order a coffee. You GOT this, mister!"
Strengths as Metal: Disciplined, detail-oriented, polite, organized, follows through on commitments, respectful, refined manners, excellent preparation, consistent.
Weaknesses as Metal: Anxious perfectionist, overly rigid, easily manipulated, represses emotions until they explode (Professor Chaos), obsessive about rules, fears disappointing others, apologizes for existing.
